REPORT: 2018 Is The Year of the Mobile App


While the eCommerce industry is teaching offline retail a lesson in getting ahead, mobile commerce is quickly outpacing its desktop competitor.

Mobile transactions are expected to make up 54% of all eCommerce purchases in 2018. 

Screen Shot 2018-01-16 at 9.44.59 AM.pngWith mobile commerce's uptick come many new opportunities, such as a new entry into the B2B vertical. By 2020, total B2B eCommerce sales in the US are predicted to surpass $1.1 trillion, making up more than 12% of total B2B sales. The B2B market is twice the size of the B2C market, indicating huge potential for this vertical.

Markets around the globe are seeing mobile take over — markets like China. On Singles Day 2017, China's biggest purchasing day of the year, mobile transactions made up a staggering 90% of all sales, with 97% of sales within the first minute coming from mobile.
